Avatrombopag, also known as AKR-501, YM477, AS 1670542 or E5501, is a novel orally-active thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist. AKR-501 specifically targeted the TPO receptor and stimulated megakaryocytopoiesis throughout the development and maturation of megakaryocytes just as rhTPO did. AKR-501 may be useful in the treatment of patients with thrombocytopenia.

Providing storage is as stated on the product vial and the vial is kept tightly sealed, the product can be stored for up to 24 months.
Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. Generally, these will be useable for up to one month. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room temperature for at least 1 hour.
