Description:
SG5 is a dual-amine ionizable lipid developed for systemic, lung-selective mRNA delivery. Its two closely spaced tertiary amines and two C16 beta-hydroxy tails produce two apparent pKa transitions when formulated as fSG5 LNPs, enabling stepwise protonation during endosomal maturation. In mice, fSG5 generated substantially stronger pulmonary luciferase expression than a C12-200/DOTAP comparator and enabled functional Cre mRNA delivery. Delivery of Nrf2 mRNA reduced edema and inflammatory injury in an LPS-induced acute lung injury model. SG5 is a preclinical research lipid for pulmonary RNA delivery and gene-editing studies.
Handling:
Providing storage is as stated on the product vial and the vial is kept tightly sealed, the product can be stored for up to 24 months.
Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance,
we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20°C. Generally, these will be useable for up to one
month. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room temperature for at
least 1 hour.
