Description:

PF-46396 is a specific small-molecule inhibitor of HIV-1 Gag maturation that interferes specifically with the cleavage of the CA/SP1 (p25) Gag precursor to the mature CA (p24) protein; exhibits antiviral activity against 17/27 HIV-1 clinical isolates with EC50s ranging from 0.005 to 7 uM and TI values ranging from 2 to 3,400.
