Description:

An orally active pterocarpanquinone that exhibits antitumoral and antileishmanial activity both in vitro and in vivo; induces apoptosis in cells derived from chronic myeloid leukemia patients, exhibiting multifactorial drug resistance phenotype such as P-glycoprotein, MRP1 and p53 overexpression; shows activity active against intracellular amastigotes of L. amazonensis with IC50 of 1.4 uM, inhibits parasite growth in L.amazonensis-infected BALB/c mice.
