Description:

p32 inhibitor M36 is a novel small molecule inhibitor of p32 mitochondrial protein, binds directly to p32 and inhibits p32 association with LyP-1; inhibits glioma cell proliferation with IC50 of 7.3 uM under low glucose (2 mM) conditions, also is a potent inhibitor of patient-derived neurospheres with IC50 of 2.8 uM; selectively targets high p32 expressing cells, promotes an increase in lactate production resulting in media acidification.
