Description:

A small molecule inhibitor of Staphylococcus aureus sortase with IC50 of 9.3 uM; blocks P2 precursor cleavage by sortase A with IC50 of 68.7 uM in staphylococci; does not affect in vitro staphylococcal growth yet protect mice against lethal S. aureus bacteremia.
