Description:

A potent, selective, brain penetrant, orally acitve mGluR7 allosteric agonist that inhibits forskolin-stimulated cAMP accumulation in mGluR7b CHO cells with EC50 of 64±32 nM; displays no activating or inhibitory effects at other mGluR subtypes and ionotropic GluRs; potently inhibits cAMP accumulation and stimulates GTPgammaS binding with EC50 of 64-290 nM; elevates the plasma stress hormones corticosterone and corticotropin in an mGluR7-dependent fashion in vivo.
