Description:

AMZ30 is a potent, selective, covalent inhibitor of the serine hydrolase protein phosphatase methylesterase-1 (PME-1) with IC50 of 0.6 uM, >100-fold selectivity over other SHs; selectively inactivates PME-1 and reduces the demethylated form of PP2A in living cells (IC50=3.5 uM in HEK 293T cells); AMZ30 is a valuable pharmacological probe to study the role of methylation in regulating PP2A function.
