Description:

BMS-986118 is a potent and selective GPR40 agonist with EC50 of 70 and 63 nM for hGPR40 and mGPR40, shows no PPARγ activity (EC50>47 uM); demonstrates insulinotropic efficacy and GLP-1 secretory effects resulting in improved glucose control in acute animal models.
