Description:

A small molecule inhibitor of RNA-binding protein Hu protein R (HuR) that interferes the HuR homodimerization with Kd of 7 nM; interferes with HuR RNA binding, HuR trafficking, cytokine expression and T-cell activation, and is a valuable tool for studying HuR function; augmentes DSS-induced weight loss and increases tumor multiplicity, size, and invasiveness in mice model of inflammatory colon cancer, also abrogates tumor cell apoptosis and depletes tumor-associated eosinophils, accompanied by a decrease in IL18 and eotaxin-1.
