| Description: | CTS-1027 is a potent small molecule inhibitor of MMPs(IC50=0.4 nM/0.6 nM for MMP2/MMP13); >1,000 fold selectivity over MMP1. CTS-1027 inhibits individual members of the MMP family that are believed to be important in inflammation and tissue damage. CTS-1027 was specifically designed, however, not to inhibit MMP 1, as inhibition of MMP 1 was believed to be associated with musculoskeletal side effects. |
