Description:

APX2014 (APX-2014) is a novel potent inhibitor of reduction-oxidation factor 1-apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease 1 (Ref-1/APE1) with IC50 of 0.2 uM for redox EMSA inhibition; inhibits endothelial cell proliferation in HRECs and Rf/6a cells in vitro with GI50 of 0.11 and 5 uM, respectively; significantly inhibits endothelial tube formation in HRECs and Rf/6a cells in vitro, inhibits TNF-α mediated NF-κB signaling and proangiogenic target gene mRNA expression; inhibits choroidal sprouting at high nanomolar concentrations in ex vivo, blocks ocular angiogenesis in vitro and ex vivo.
