Description: A novel, second-generation C-terminal Hsp90 inhibitor with Kd of 191 and 726 uM for Hsp90α and Hsp90β, respectively; also displays binding to Hsc70 with Kd of 76.3 uM, reduces the expression of Hsc70-specific client proteins; demonstrates antiproliferative effect against PC3MM2 cells with IC50 of 5-10 uM, for LNCap-LN3, LAPC-4, and C4-2 cells, IC50 if 1.5-2.5 uM; exhibits greater inhibition of Hsp90’s protein folding function than the N-terminal inhibitor, 17-AAG.
